The Arts

The Arts is a curriculum area that draws together many art forms. It comprises of five subjects:

  • Dance
  • Drama
  • Media Arts
  • Music
  • Visual Arts

The curriculum examines past, current and emerging arts practices from across a range of cultures and places.

At Loxton Primary School students utilise our fantastic grounds and facilities during their learning of The Arts. The large School Hall is perfect for Drama/ Dance lessons, while the Wet Areas and outside Learning Spaces are excellent for creativity during Visual Art lessons. Media Arts integrates perfectly with our Technologies curriclum- students are able ot use both iPads and Laptops to create Media Art pieces/ projects. A Music room full of resources and instruments is utilised for Music lessons.
