School Sport SA
Students at Loxton Primary School can represent our school at many Interschool sporting events across the Riverland- such as Cross Country, Netball, Football, Swimming, Soccer, Basketball and Athletics.
From these Interschool events, students can be selected to represent the Riverland at School Sport (formerly SAPSASA) events across the state.
Loxton Primary School has a strong record of success in the School Sports Athletics large school shield.
School Choir
Students in Upper Primary are invited to participate in the School Choir.
Our choir perform as part of the Riverland Primary School’s Music Festival each year, along with many other Riverland schools.
Our choir also enjoy singing at school assemblies and other special school events.
School Concert
At the end of each year, Loxton Primary School hosts its highly anticipated school concert. This event is a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their talents and celebrate the end of the school year with families and the wider school community. The concert features performances from all year levels, highlighting the creativity and hard work of our students and staff. We look forward to this special occasion every year, as it brings our community together in a celebration of learning and achievement.
Instrumental Music at Loxton Primary School
Students in year 4, 5 and 6 have access to group lessons in Trumpet, Trombone, Flute, Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Electric Bass Guitar and Percussion. Lessons are free and taught by Department for Education teachers, during class time. Students will need to access an instrument and tutor book prior to the commencement of lessons. Information regarding costs of hire instruments is available from your school.
